Hi, after hours trying to find the solution I finally found it: I just type teh key Featured instead of featured and that’s it (of course you still have to fill the value url), at least that was my mistake.
I have also had some issues with trying to get the front page images to show in the slideshow. I’ve added the custom fields requested and nothing shows up.

You must add custom field. im using wordpress 3. beta. i added custom field its working for me quite well. make sure u also check option of the themes and feature caregory is added in the slide show.

Featured and not featured for the custom field
hey there.. just new to the blogging thing.. and i like it…. wordpress is an amazing thing…
BUT i do have a question about the front page and getting the slide show to work… someone mention something about using a custom field? I have WP2.9.2 and it does not pear to work by following the instructions that are in the theme options page… Please help.. I t seem to bee a cool and well thought out theme.. would like to make it make…
Can’t get the thumbnails to show up in the slider! Tried custom field, using category ID in admin page, no luck. Any clues?

I do get images to show up in the slideshow by using the featured custom field, but the images are distorted. Does the utility auto size the images or do I need to size them to fit the pane?
I like the look of this theme, but if I can’t get it to work, I am going to have to scrap it and find another.
…had your same problem. Please take care when adding custom field: Featured is case sensitive, if you write it down “featured” it will not work, use F capital letter!

For Thumbnail issue on the slider – as suggested above create a custom field “Featured” (case-sensitive) AND make sure the image url is within your domain.
If you use a url for some other domain/website, you will see the big image but not the small thumbnail on the slider below. To fix these, upload the image to your website and give the url of your website.

The custom header on the new version doesn’t seem to work even if an image is selected and uploaded.
How can this be corrected?
If it can’t, how do we remove the header space and make the upper margin lesser? It is just a blank space now.
